Peace OUT Education Workshop for KS3

The Peace Museum launched a new workshop for KS3 classes in 2022. The team worked with an experienced LGTBQ+ educator, Roy Ward, to create this 2 hour interactive workshop that takes place in your school delivered by our Learning Team.

During the session pupils will be able to describe and reflect on;

• The rights LGBTQ+ people have in the UK and how those rights were gained.
• The impact that LGBTQ+ people have had on peace.
• How peaceful campaigning and awareness raising can help to challenge inequality and discrimination

The session uses objects from the museum's collection to inspire pupils to think about equality. The session links to the National Curriculum, including KS3 Citizenship, History, SMSC and British Values.
